Beefed-up Consumer Law in Australia Puts Open Recalls Down Under
Legislation makes it illegal for used cars with open recalls to be sold
in retail or wholesale markets
What could be a
precursor to US law, Australian consumer protection laws were
recently beefed up to also include vehicles with open recalls.
The law not only prevents the sale of these vehicles to consumers,
but also includes vehicles being traded or sold at wholesale.
The advice comes from legal counsel representing dealerships in the
