Front-end Developer – Vue Web Application for B2B Company

About Us:

We are a leading B2B company providing data-driven services to enhance customer engagement and operational efficiency.  Our core web application is integral to managing customer data, monitoring service delivery, and generating advanced reporting on marketing campaigns, call center activity, and ETL processes.  We’re looking for a skilled Front-end Developer to work on feature-rich interfaces, sophisticated data visualizations, and interactive components in our core web app.

Position Overview:

As a CONTRACT Front-end Developer, you will translate Figma mockups into production code, working closely with design, backend, and QA teams.  You’ll be expected to write API contracts, define Front-end requirements for backend services, and manage deployment environments using Git feature branching and pull requests.  In addition to hands-on coding, you’ll employ advanced techniques for caching, optimization, and data handling to support large datasets and interactive elements.

Location:

Preferred – West Coast

Optional – Remote within United States

Responsibilities:

  • Build feature-rich interfaces using Vue2 and Vue3, working with large tables and interactive mapping components that allow users to visualize and interact with data (e.g., plotting and selecting areas on Mapbox maps).
  • Collaborate on API contracts with backend developers to ensure Front-end requirements are met, defining data structures and endpoints necessary for features.
  • Implement advanced data handling for large datasets, creating efficient, high-performance tables with editable, rearrangeable, and filterable rows and columns.
  • Optimize Mapbox Tiles and geojson data for mapping components, ensuring smooth interactive experiences.
  • Develop and maintain dynamic charts with D3.js and manage real-time application monitoring using WebSockets.
  • Work with a dedicated DevOps team to manage deployments using CI/CD pipelines and Terraform, and with a QA team to ensure your code meets testability standards with Cucumber and Selenium.
  • Adhere to Git best practices, utilizing feature branching and pull requests to manage multiple environments.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of Front-end development experience, with strong skills in Vue2 and Vue3.
  • Proven experience with API contract writing and defining data requirements for backend integration.
  • Comfortable with Git in a multi-environment setup (dev, staging, production), with regular use of feature branching and pull requests.
  • Experience with interactive maps using Mapbox, managing geojson data, and Mapbox Tiles.
  • Skilled in handling large datasets and building performant, interactive tables with features like click-to-edit, reordering, filtering, and grouping.
  • Solid experience with D3.js for interactive and data-driven visualizations.
  • Knowledge of advanced caching and optimization techniques, ensuring smooth performance with large data volumes.
  • Familiarity with polyglot backends and comfortable working with a diverse backend architecture.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with memoization and debouncing for handling user input and optimizing rendering in interactive UIs.
  • Use of tree-shaking and code-splitting to improve performance on large applications.
  • Proficiency with virtualized rendering in table components for high-performance data grids.

Work Environment:

Located in Orange County, CA, our flexible work model prefers candidates able to work from the office a few days a week.  Fluency in English is required, and remote candidates with strong written and spoken English skills are welcome to apply.
