Welcome to The FixedOps UX, a 5-minute minicast all about the user experience in the fixed operations environment.  I’ve been planning this podcast for about two years, believing that someone else would surely be addressing the customer retention challenge.  It never happened, so I took the reins and am calling on all the great minds in the automotive industry to discuss the entire fixed operation ecosystem and how we can improve the customer experience.

There’s a good reason why I reference the UX (user experience) and not the CX (customer experience).  You see, we have several stakeholders – employees, management, customers, third-party vendors – in fixed operations success.  We all play a part in shaping this ecosystem, ultimately shaping the experience that leaves us disappointed, satisfied, thrilled or raving brand ambassadors.

I also wanted to keep the FixedOps UX under five minutes in length.  Time is a valuable resource and I can easily locate a good number of automotive podcasts that are deep dive.  Instead, we’ll focus on a very specific topic driven by our guests – all with the goal of fostering an amazing culture for our teams and stupendous interactions with our customers.  I look forward to your participation in the podcast!

About the FixedOps UX Host

Sean Reyes serves as Chief Marketing Officer for Recall Masters, the automotive industry’s leader in comprehensive recall management and retention solutions. Sean’s experience spans more than 35 years of business development and strategic marketing experience, having worked in the automotive, healthcare, finance, insurance and technology industries.  What makes Sean the ideal host for this show is that he has helped shaped both sales/marketing and customer service initiatives at several companies in several different industries.  While always connected to the automotive industry, he invested all of his efforts and knowledge into the fixed operations environment more than a decade ago.  It is this “outside-the-box” perspective that enables him to architect customer-facing processes for our industry.

While running a successful consultancy, Reyes worked with world-renowned brands like like American Express, Toshiba, Western Digital, Cox Communications, Gateway, Novartis, Microsoft, IBM, Mitsubishi, Yamaha, Compaq, HP, BMW and many of the nation’s largest automotive groups. While he has an accomplished portfolio, his strengths are “go-to-market” business modeling, customer lifecycle management and digital marketing strategies.  As Recall Masters’ CMO, Reyes oversees product differentiation, all corporate communication, state ADA activities and automotive industry presence.  Sean lives in Napa, CA and spends his free time hiking, kayaking, playing guitar, going to concerts with his family and tinkering with his 1972 Chevrolet Cheyenne C10 truck (yes, that’s the background at the show’s intro).

Anatomy of Your FixedOps UX Segment

The entire segment is 5 minutes or less.  I’ll use the first 45 seconds to open the show.  The 4:15 balance is all yours to determine how to best present.  I can hand the mic over to you, we can have a Q&A back and forth or anything in between.  I’ll provide the audience access to any supporting documents, landing pages or links to videos should you want to promote a deeper dive.

The segment will be recorded and edited for release at a later date.  Don’t worry about  perfection.  If you mess up a line, restate it and we’ll fix it in post-production.  Don’t read a script, but, depending on your teleprompter skills, it could be the best solution if you need to cover certain items and need to fit it all within the 5-minute segment.  Otherwise, if you go over, we’ll cut content to fit within the limit.

You will NOT have a chance to preview the final segment.  We’re moving quick, so the 5-minute segment shouldn’t require any proofing.  The final segment will be posted to a Vimeo page and I will share with you a link so that you can post/download to your website or other promotions.  The segment is formatted for posting onto LinkedIN and will not be provided in letterbox form.

Your segment will be broadcast on LinkedIN and we will tag you in all postings.  Along with being archived on the Vimeo page, all episodes are also archived on the FixedOps UX microsite on the Recall Masters website.  From the Vimeo site, you can also download the mp4 to post onto your YouTube Channel, website or other electronic property.  Let’s get you back on the show for another segment!
